Observer see what is researched

As an observer, I would like the pop-up on a research building to show (in different color maybe) what has been researched and what has not.

Say if Basic Leaval System's has been researched, when I hover over the building, the pop-up shows "Basic Leaval Systems" in orange, with the others in white.

sounds like a good idea. might be hard to code.

maybe you could be given the ability to select units with research options and see the buttons for research but not have the ability to purchase them, just see which are done already etc. like the owner player would see. its not as good as your suggestion, but might be easier to make happen.

If they gave the research pods a proper sod and station hardpoint like stock, but set them to hidden (but still invalid targets), seeing a players completed research should work.

Stock pods set to hidden would be invisible ingame, but visible in Map editor. Maybe that could be adapted to observer?

Yeah and may I also request an ESPN style admirals log for the observers too!

yea we would like to add more obersever infos, similar to the overlays in starcraft 2, to make recording battles more fun. sadly thats harder to do, as its something we did not even touch yet. its still on todo as always

damn seems like the whole world is on todo!

I think Optec and Doca should get Second Life accounts, and have their virtual avatars code while they sleep.  It works like that, doesn't it?

Not in films, virtual avatars always act on parts of the mind you'd rather not show. On good days...

So their virtual avatars spend their time on taking over the world.  A world run by Optec and Doca?  That's not so bad I guess.

I'm sure the todo list might be finished one day..... in 2238 maybe.

And I am sure I'll find a way to be alive and playing that day.
