NPC-Derelict request

i thought the ferengi gave up when you beamed to a ship and gave it crew.

maybe it was for a2 vanilla campaign, you gotta remember that back in stock crew was killed so easily and was a resource, nearly all weapons fire killed truckloads of crew, crew was like another health bar (just not as bad as in a1 - god that was horrible, you'd lose ships cos of low crew more than them exploding). ships had 0 crew a lot more often in stock, and in the campaign it was another way to force you to keep ships recrewed. it was easy to warp to a derelict ship and save it as well.

i loved playing borg campaign, using auto assimilator to strip an enemy ship of crew, then stripping the marauders that came to collect the derelict but not blowing them up (you couldnt capture them, any drones beamed got assimilated by the ferengi :P ). after about 2 or 3 ferengi ships, no more would come until you destroyed the already present ones. that way you basically turned off the ferengi in campaign :P also it was a really easy way to recrew assimilators as they had loads of energy to spend on blue beam and the ferengi wouldnt fire on you and they wouldnt need to repair and recrew, so it wouldnt cost you any crew.
