NPC defense

1v1 map with 6 NPC rases (when there out) 1 moon pare per player where you need to outlast the other player to win sound good? :thumbsup:

1 moon pair could unbalance it in favour cheaper ships and could disadvantage races with bigger ships (Borg). 2 pairs per race would be more balanced and still give the effect of fighting an up hill struggle. If you spread the moons so they are all alone, it will also increase the feeling of danger as players have to prioritise what to defend.

cool it does depend on the strength of the npcs and there location so it may  take a few trys before it becomes fun and not anoying as you would want to be going four a wile

Something I think could be interesting would be a sectioned off map (like Nirvana II) has an AI base in one section. Preferrably, a 4 player map with the same layout as NII (either an NPC or playable race).

Making it randomly select different areas would be good, if even possible.

sounds good too. I thuoght it would be like a new game mode.
