Non-Special Weapon Tech Requirement

hi wud it be possible to make it so non-special weapons can be affected by the tech tree. This would be helpfulll for ship upgrades (capture/assimilation)

not at the moment, as that would require far to many checks. but there will be some mechanics in future versions that allow similar effects

maybe you could put the non special weapon you desire on a refit model ship, and control access to the refit research.

the problem with that is that
1) it would increase the amount of odfs by a lot
2) it would not work for things like assimilation (unless a new instat replace condition is made (eg intantreplaceassimilation = 1 or instantreplacecaptured = 1 (then you can control what odf it goes to by using capturedreplacerace = "federation" etc))
