do you think maddoc and activision still have the api/sdk and give it to  you? slip in a 'hot coffee' mod and watch the publicity of FO soar lol!

hehe no, i talked to maddoc as we started making beta 1 about. as the single player campain files are like real programs you can theoreticly hide viruses in these files. but i think the real reason is, they did not have a user friendly version of their campain sources ready and were not interested at releasing such a paket cause they get no money for doing it and maybe even aren't allowed to release anything new without activisions agreement.

aaah thats a bummer doca! would be cool to see what you guys come up with for a single player!

what about the promethesus ship mo-fo's? thats definately federation!

the firing while cloaked function of the scimiter would be awesome!

the game files can be added acordingly to edit any detail of the ships, just because you feel the origional files are over powered doesnt mean you have to make it like that.

the promethesus was the newest ship designed by the federation and it didnt have a slipstream drive (in the series) it did however have the 3way hull split but again this feature doesnt have to be installed just like the galaxy class doesnt have its split. (i feel its better if the ship remains in one piece). there are fantastic models and textures for this ship class out there and with a few tweeks to the weapons files i think it would be a welcome addition to this already top notch mod.


the nova class ship in voyager did have a superwarp. when they killed those aliens for their life energy to make fuel. the nova class could have the slipstream drive. as its small and lightly armed you could add this ship and use it as a scout craft. now obvously the entire nova class ships in the series/movies didnt have this superwarp but applying it into FO would only make it better.


the galaxy class ship could be moved into the same shipyard as the sovereign and the nova class added to the sam shipyard as the sabre.

the promethesus could be added to starfleet command in place of where the galaxy class is. that way you can still maintain the balace issues.

well the canaveral looks like the nova
the prometheus has been disscussed (forget how many times before, go look it up)


you say balance will be maintained with this? how, all thats been said is for the feds. when you add something to them, to balance things you'll have to add something to the others.

the canaveral aint the nova! i like the sound of what excursion said, i've tried the prometheus and nova ships in armada 2 and they were awesome

actually the Wells Class might actually fit, but the Aeon Class just wouldn't, and the dauntless isn't even a federation ship.

i'm sure i've seen a different AEON class to what is pictured above, it looked federation i think

nomatter what way you look at the canaveral its not the nova class, if you wana start an arguement because you are lacking in basic good manners that fine. this topic was started for new ideas in the area of ships i put across my ideas and frodo seems to understand where im coming from.

OBVOUSLY you would add the same amount of ships to the other races but the klingons already have nearly 2x the amount of the federation. if you had more than one braincell to rub together you would know your limited to a max of 5 promethesus class ships if you dont take anything else in the starfleet command pool as they cost 2credits each.

if you want ideas for every race thats fine but i tend to focus one one thing at a time that way it doesnt get messed up.

the romulans could add the Reman warbird (Scimitar) and as FO have most of the romulan ships i know of the addition would have to be a non-offical ship. i would need more time to think over the other races.

He didnt say canaveral is THE SAME as nova, he just said it looks like nova class and I agree with him. Optec said in some thread I forgot that nova will be an avatar vessle, so that should make u happy. I just wanted to say one thing, why the **** must u insult him when your trying to make a point. Just write what u think without the insults, is that really that difficult??
If you look at the rules there is no flamming allowed here, so plizz just stop it, it just isnt attractive to new members

Now about the prometheus I know it has been debated many many times already, and I think it will be in but I dont know in what manner, will it be a credit ship or map unit or whatever I am SURE it will come in.

Schimitar has also been discussed b4 and they said it will be a merchaniary(I think) its supposably a new feature for a future version, but it will not come to the Romulans and as they already have tavara I agree with this.

So basically everything u said here was already discussed b4, and u go flamming other members because they told u that and because u didnt read their reply carefully, next time just use the search button
