Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Red Admirals work, it's one of my primary refrences, but this is his one design I'm not too keen on.

No offense but pretty ugly looking, that and 100% uncanon and not needed.

someone fetch me a doggy bag!

my 1st look at this is obvous, the ship is awful looking.....

constructive criticism. IMO

1)
the ship is way to long, shorten the necelles and the connection from the saucer and battle section.

2)
swoop the necelle connection back like the soverign.

3)
rethink the textures more detail.

i hope this help you out.

i don't really like it. mainly the akira style connection between the saucer & engineering section  dont think it works for a ship like this.

to PD: Actually, your statement is false. The Galaxy style saucer is cannon.

to excursion: In case you didn't notice, he didn't make it!!! If you really want to influence the design, contact the Red Admiral. (Link to the Cosmos)

to Cpt Ryan: The connections may have been influenced by the Akira, but look at the bright side, at least they arn't complete copys!

Once again another uncannon, uneeded hideous fan piece like all others out there, someone would think by now that all possible expolarble star trek designs have been made

Simple formula
* Simple Shape, with the exception of the most recent soveriegn class all fed ships have a very simple shape.
* 2 Nacelles in general good designs must feature 2 nacelles or nacelle like structures
* Very Few addons (torp pods ect. nebula and miranda are about the only ones that can pull this off but it flows with their shape)
* Realistic proportions weight wise, (it doesn't need to look like if the ship was in gravity it would go like this or /
* Recognizable Deflector dish and foward and aft with Nacelle structure in aft
* a saucer neck engineering nacelle structure even seen in defiant and orbeth
* fluid, no jutty objects or useless weight to "make it look stronger"
* medium sized the feds build cruisers if you haven't picked up on this by now you don't know star trek

The Galaxy saucer section is what I call a Circle, which is a geometric shape which every Federation ship has in some place or another, so STFU  that and the saucer section on it was obviously textured differantly.

the saucer in the bottom pic doesnt look like a galaxy's saucer & the rest of it just doesn't fit together.

i don't like it, it's all wrong IMHO.

and it reminds me of an over-stretched piece of silly-putty. and the textures could use some work too.

i just simply don't like it (no nice way to put it, but i tryed)

It's classified as a work in progress.

first response when i looked at this was a cough, then a chuckle, followed by another cough, followed by "hey look, someones combined a galaxy with a soverign, and then slicing the connecting parition in half, something that would never be done on a ship due to the stresses".
