Remember that besides violent and reckless, Klingon are opportunistic. They will kick a fallen enemy or aim for the injured parts. Honor lies in winning basically.
It's no surprise that the usual Klingon salutation, "Qapla'", translates literally as "success". It's the most important thing to them.
