i have 576kb connection. i never got lag. leave you cokkie intacked.? i dunt understand people that shell out for a larg conection. you can only regive somthing at the speed that the server is uploading it to you at. downloading sure . but most sits apear slow because of heavy traffic, nothing to do with the SIZE of you conection speed.

wanna bet i have 8mb connections and i agree when using Http its the same but when using FTP and Bit torrent and P2p and gaming there is a huge difference

it depends on what u wanna do with ur connection if u wanna browse 576 is fine

if u wann download 8mb minimum

Thats how much you can download at once.
It doens't impact your speed at all.
You can download 8 megabytes per second.
But if the 576 guy is closer to the source.
He will get a higher speed.

cool im the 576 guy!

plus you often find that with larger connection the ISP( internet service porvider) will put download limmits on you each mounth. therefore it's best for me with ADSL to have a 576 as i can download more that if i had chosen to go for the 2MB. i have no limits so i'l just stay connected for a bit longer.

also with downloading it bepends on how fast the server can upload somthing to you at. (or with your p2p how fast the other clients can upload to you at and how many of them there are.

enough fed ships we only need one to replace the decent after that we are fine i hate the **** ship you just showed its the most ugly thing i have ever seen

and you know what i just realised something for the first time yesterday playing feds for the first time in a couple o months


Why the **** did they butcher the Akula class and make it a newton i hate that so much i love the akula class it was a great Tmp era fast patrol cruiser

Kitbashed? That design made by Okuda's staff for the Wolf 359 debris field, and its a VARIET, not a "kitbash". Does the fact that nearly all modern naval warships look nearly the same make them kitbashes? And besides, you really think that the feds would just abandon a good design stye?

On point #2, however, I completely agree with you. The Akyazi class perimiter action ships (including the Arbiter and Akula subclass) are the most thouroughly designed ships, ever. In fact, they gathered the designs up and put them in a book. Needless to say, I was horrified when the "Newton" class repair ship that came out of my starbase was none other than my beloved Akyazi class, shamefully stripped of all usefully combat gear and outfitted with a repair beam, a role in which the words "ill-suited" are a monumental understatment.

as for 576 bullshit

i have NO DOWNLOAD LIMITS i download happily at my 8mbit per second helps when downloading a linux distro which is say 3 or 4 gigs i can get it in around an hour

and bullshit bout faster speeds as i said http maybe but not when it comes to de centralised sources because then the download speed really helps

at the end of the day i can download say 10 things or 15 things at the same time as he would download 1 now no offense the 8mb is perfect for that

and when i see my shiny full speed at work and it takes 2h to download something instead of days im happy

and as i said it does help for gaming because u know u can still download and play without fear of lagging so badly that its unplayable
