Cheat would vary by race, but essentially keyword would be

fsupport - Feds
bsupport - Borg
dsupport - Dom
rsupport - Rom
ksupport - Klingons

so it would have to match the faction you are to get your support, can't call for other supports

You get a freakishly large fleet that suddenly appears and causes utter devastation. Temporary

Feds, huge huge huge warpin.
Borg, a huge fleet jumps out of a transwarp conduit and assimilates everything.
Dom, not really sure, but obviously they get a large fleet somehow, wormhole maybe? artificial?
Roms, warbirds uncloak right left and centre and torpedo away
Klingons, swarms of field yard ships and many battle yard ships uncloak crush everything. maybe a few imperial yards,

Just your run of the mill over powered cheat. It's temporary, and you control the location it happens at.

maybe give the cheat a time limit or number of times you can use it. but it might screw up things in a technical way if you repeatedly use the cheat and create 100s of ships at a time.

anyways, i thought it might be kind of fun to develop and visually

for instance, in the case of the borg, all ships would have to emerge from the conduit, but warpins could come flying in from everywhere to the one location, cloaked vessels could do any number of things, just suddenly appear in all sorts of ways, and so on.

if u wanna do this cheat you can just use map editor (control+e) to add as many units of any race that you like, even ones that arent in standard play.

Yeah a cheat option just seams pointless. Just make your own cheaty maps like the rest of us.

oh. nvm. didn't know about this.

i don't know how to make cheaty maps... ...

yes you can, that was what i meant by use map editor. not create a map with your fleet, but add the fleet at any time.

to go up a menu push tab. you can add stations, ships, from any race, you can even add any environmental object you want.

you can also use it to remove anything by pushing delete.

if you move a ship away from where it was in map editor, it will be annoyed and fly back when you go back to the game.

if you double click on stuff you can edit properties about it. such as disabling engines on a ship.

cool

I always that map editor was meant for before you start a game. changing maps and stuff.

it never worked for me that way. I'd try to do it from the main options menu, but whatever changes I made never transferred over to when i started the game, i just figured I was doing something wrong.

I'll give this a shot for sure.

thnks

Just be patient godsvoice, i've got hope there will be a single player campaign sooner or later, including "events" that are basically like yours. But first they need to script such things, and if they've done it, i'm pretty sure there gonna be some kind of "fun cheat command" for you and other people who love to play some instant action once in a while.

And i think the current warpin feature already grants more or less a feature you would like to see - just in a way smaller scale :D

Edit: @Myles: so, is it currently possible to let a fleet (enemy or even yours) spawn at a specific time frame?

not with stock fleetops, you have to use map editor during the game to add what you want.

maybe mmm can do this sort of thing, adding and removing ships etc.
