This year, I have been constantly thinking about cool new ships. The one I am sharing in this post at the moment...
Cylinder. Long and thin, the cylinder is a ferocious, assimilation only vessel. With a docking port on each end, the cylinder can assimilate an entire fleet with damage at none. Its one problem is that if the assimilation chamber ports are open, a single quantum torpedo can shatter a large section of the ship to pieces. Then the vessel is easily destroyed by enemy fire.

That is the one I am sharing in this post. More to come. Go, ahead, share your own!

Oooooohhh. How uncanny!  Not the exact way I imagine it myself, but yeah, much like that. A little more smooth.

Pyramid: The Pyramid is for assimilating a planet's atmosphere. (Think like the Borg Colony ship in Armada II, but not quite, bigger + bulkier.) The vessel so far is the only known Borg vessel that can do a natural planetary lading. Then, the vessel releases a massive wall of nanites, which quickly destroys the planets atmosphere's natural state making the planet more suitable for Borg life. All life (even non-sentient life) is assimilated. It's weakness is that the vessel's underbelly is lightly shielded, and exposed to enemy fire.

Thats my next ship post. Go ahead! Make your own!

as there are only few Borg vessels known, we had to use a few made-up designs for them, too. nevertheless the new Borg-module-system allows us to use fewer vessels for this race, cause the player can customize it. That's Borg style, they just love their cubes :)

The ship selection in v3 is so far:
Probe (seen in Voyager)
Scout Cube (a small cube, mentioned in TNG)
Adaptor (seen as Lore's renegade Borg ship in TNG)
Assimilator (from Armada 1)
Sphere (seen in Voyager)
Cube (the standard Voyager-Cube)
Diamond (seen in Voyager)
Command Cube (the Wolf-359 Cube seen in TNG)
Pyramid (used as an Avatar unit, not seen or mentioned in a show)

I think I read a post by one of the modders that there'd be different versions of the Borg ships, such as the Sphere from "Unimatrix Zero" that had the large deflector dish. Whether this has changed over the course of the mods development I don't know.

The Claw: When the Borg wanted to add assimilated vessels directly to a vessel, they made the claw. The claw looks like a diamond except with massive docking arms coming off of each facet, allowing for a a total of six assimilated vessels to be added to the ships at one time. Its problem is that escape pods can easily make their way out of the vessels shields when their vessel is being assimilated. The overall structural integrity is rather weak as well.

More to come!

I always saw the Cylinder as something to carry smaller ships around.

In Starfleet Command 3 the Cylinder is used as a trade ship, maybe it can be used as a mining ship in Fleet Ops?

Does anyone know where to get the Armada II game for cheap?

Advanced Diamond: The advanced Diamond makes the tactical fusion cube go on on a run for it's money! The vessel carries four massive weapons pods, make out of assimilated Tholian vessels. The vessel's special weapons include, ultritium burst, computer override, nanites, shield remodulation, holding beam,  transwarp drive,....and all of the other Borg special weapons. There is currently one of these massive, evil vessels built currently, specifically for the (Most recent) Borg Queen, and the vessel is the most powerful vessel ever built, with no known weaknesses or flaws.

I didn't fully make up the advanced diamond, (it was made up by a guy who made a lot of mods for Armada,) but, I did make up some stuff about it, including the name, so I claim some credit, but I wanted to share the cool looking ship with you!  :borg:

Yep, some modules (like the tactical hull module for example) do change the appearance of a vessel. The Deflector-Sphere is achieved by an avatar Module.

Lol, for A2, I can't install from my CD as it is corrupt, so I just torrent it and use my CD to play it, lol >=[. A strange but...semi legal solution =D. As I still bought it, lol.
