New borg ship types.

I was thinking about what about having a new borg ship types that can only be made by upgrading assimilated ships. A sorta mixed tech for the borg.

When the borg assimilate a ship they can tern the ship that is perfectly equipped to take on that race.

This would add the adaption idea to the borg in a hole new level.

To balance out the game I was thinking the out come of this ship would not be guarantied. You could have it so some attempted upgrades become upgraded versions of the original assimilated ships under the control of the original rase with no crow requirements.

Why would the Borg ever upgrade something and then give it back?

If, somehow, the recalcitrant vessel were to free itself with upgrades, so long as these aren't the moronic Voyager Borg, there are only two things in their future.  A Borg holding beam followed by a cutting beam (time to analyze the vessel and see what let it do that, assimilate it, and adapt), or a gravimetric torpedo right up the ass.

sounds like a similar idea to my concept of improved assimilation. sounds good but a lot of work and extra files will be needed

I was thinking that it should be that if the Borg were to assimilate a sovy than it'd open up the feds adapt matrix because you have assimilated a ship and anylized its technology so that you can then in turn adapt against other races.

how said give it back? No they lose control of it.

They did it in ent era with a transport and the borg are thing differently with the inclusion of drone "Hue" in TNG.

Definitely an interesting idea . Although it has been brought up a long time ago, it'd be neat if there was some sort of "module unlock" you'd get for every assimilated vessel, where you can add one of two things to each ship to use them more as fighting vessels... I don't know if that's really the Borg way to go about things though, as Silent93 brings up some good points. The Borg only seem to use non-Borg vessels when they don't have access to their native tech - other than that they just slice 'em up or leave them abandoned on some planet (thinking about the Raven).
