I believe you are right about that, the first should would always be the same time for all the weapons.

It is. I tried something similer a while back (about a year, before fleet ops). It sounded horrable, and looked even worse.

But it did not fail. Except for the very first shot. And everything firing on the first shot is hardcoded into the game. Regardless of whether you're using A2 or Fleet Ops. A ninety percent solution was acceptable for me to achieve the effect of the various weapons firing and exploding. Only other way I know to achieve what you want would be for you to write up a .dll hook.
I rememeber seeing various convos whicxh bear a remarkble resemblence to this one over over on A2Files and at MSFC with someone usernamed Jetnova16. He too would ask for help with a mod he was making which promised to be grand in scope. He would then shoot down any and all suggestions given to him. Hmmmmm.
I am a fair to middlin' code monkey. Perhaps you've heard of the A2 Physics Project? The BSG Half Race Mod? The Improved Single Player Campaign? Yup, I am that Thunderfoot. Don't ordinarily trot my bona fides out into public because it's rude to do so. But when you said I failed, it riled me up a little. Dunno why I offered to help after reading all of the threads you've started. Sometimes, I'm kinda stupid that way. Shooting down suggestions in a public forum isn't the way to win friends or get people to help you out. I am going back to lurk status because I'd rather mod than just talk about modding
Back on topic.
I wanted the same thing for the BSG Half Race Mod you want because I wanted all those guns going off at various times and exploding at various times as well. After the second shot, no one noticed they all fired together the first time. Go D/L the mod and look at the coding. It may be a starting point to get you where you want to go.

yep, multiple firing and impact sounds is something i thought about too. It will arrive with a clean solution in FO at some point

I didn't say you failed, I said the idea had been tried, and the fail was because of the first shot problem.

First, what do you mean by 'all the thread you started'? Second, I've seen and tried a bit of your work, and I like it. I would be glad if you help me with my mod, if you want to. (also, what's lurk status?)
