Maybe it would be possible to add a new borg phaser for either the cube or somthing bigger that could fire at more than 1 enemy at once, say 3 enemys, but cut the damage by a third or summat. What I was thinking was that it should be a normal weapon rather than a special weapon cos it would be so cool to have borg ships that could fire at more than 1 target at once. Maybe increase the cost of the ships a bit. any way not sure if its possible because the class labels a special weapon one, but if it cant be done by a normal weapon maybe have a weapon thats activated constantly with no special energy drain.

It IS possible to fire at multible ships at once with a single ship because I've seen it in mods before. Sounds like a good idea for some of the larger borg cubes.

Yeah, it's a multitarget code. You can set a single weapon point to fire at any number of target's you want. Default, of course is one. I had this romulan ship modded to fire a super laser at 100 targets once. I transwarped it into a base once....two shots, the entire enemy base and fleet was dead.

the only problem with this is getting the weapons to choose the right targest and unfortanatly that falls back on the ai abilities, and i think that not only large borg ships but also any battleship of another race should be able to multitask in combat, i mean strafing you don't just attack one target you attack a few and keep moving

Most Federation starships with Phaser Arrays can multitarget..however it would only be good to use this on larger ships like the Sovvy or the Galaxy class and have it be no more than two or three..the trick is to give quite a few hardpoints so that you don't have two or three beams coming from one hardpoint.
