Follow a ship in 3rd person view (like the first person view follow)
* Sometimes I feel like my screen moving can be a bit jerky, especially when there's not much going on. It would be nice to select a ship and follow it (in 3rd person view (the default)) to give some more "life" to those slow moments. It also means I can get a drink and look like I'm still paying attention :)

As Observer: Listen to Player/Team chat
- Have Teams' chat clearly indicate which team they are on
- Have chat clearly indicate if it is open/private/allied/etc

As Observer: Have ability to show what avatar players are. (I would think a row down the left side with the player's name and avatar picture (similar to non-observer's avatar picture) would do nicely) Player's name in their color would be helpful as well.

(note) A selected StarFleet Command looses selection when it Warps-In vessels. Slightly annoying when in Observer mode.

This actually is already included, just have a ship selected when you hit the cine-mode :)

The rest are pretty good ideas

SFC does the same thing to the player as well.  It is equally annoying. :sweatdrop:

Actually Dom, I don't think it is when you have a ship selected, it is actually which ship is closest to the centre of the screen when you change camera.

Hmm... cine doesn't seem to work (no follow). And cine takes away all of the strategy information... Alas  :sweatdrop:

yandoman, he doesn't mean cine as in the cheat, he means the camera mode when you press caps-lock or the eye-icon in the top right.
