something to do with a special feature so that the weapons damage the hull and shields of a vessel

so doesn't the fusion cube does have this ability anyway?

nah, the fusion cube hits the shields down with one torp... and he´s askin to give tha tact.-sphere the ability to hit the hull and life support instead of penetrating the shields the most. kinda that way

i never played armada 2 unmodded ... we kicked everything out from the beginning without even have it really played

the klingon k'vort class can make direct hull damage with the Shield Breaking Torpedo special ability
the new klingon luspet class uses cluster torpedos which cause a target to lose hull hitpoints over time, even if the shields are still up
