Ok 1st of all can I just say that I am actually quite impressed that the devs have incorporated a good built in mod manager but I do have a few ideas on how it may be made better

I've been playing Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War for a while now and what I like about there mod manager and module files is that the module files allows lists of required mods (were lower down the list the mod appears the less prioity it has) and the ability to 'hide' mods from the mod manager list.

i think these ideas would be nice to be included as it would allow makers of big mods to have there mods split up to keep on track with and also saves having the mod manager list full of small mods like single ships that are just there as link mods.

Another feature I liked about the mod manager on DoW was that it supported its data to be stored in archives (like fo odfs but for all of its files) this would also allow mods to be made smaller as archieves can be compressed (like in the MMM)

Is the mod manager from Warhammer still functioning if i`m using the steam version?
Pure curiosity
btw i never saw the manager. So its hard to imagine.
A screenshot would be great for better understanding.

the current mod manager is designed more for total conversions than for small mods. that is bacause armada doesn't support mixing mods very well anyway. in the future such a feature as to allow dependency on more than one mod may be added though. i'll consider a hiding option when it comes to that.
archive support may be added in the future as well in the form of fpq archives.
