Missing Ships

I am sorry I am to lazy to click page two I would probably find something similar to this topic. but why are the prometheus class... nova, miranda, and a great old favorites, I can understand dropping mabey the nova, or prometheus but the miranda, the excelcior, those are classics and starfleet is run by antique collectors so was wondering if those could be used to replace some of the designs in v4? thanks for listining

miranda has been replaced after the dom war, the excelsior is still in service mate

Wrong, Miranda is still in service although not for long I bet, still would love for them to be buildable. Excelsior, although unbelievably, isn't buildable in this mod either and I'd love to see that ship too.

the miranda is #3 on my top ten ships list for a wonder ful disign multy puropose missions not only that but they are some great and mighty ship

the excelsior is buildable. the excelsior II i think

but the mirande is slowly going replaced by the sabre , norway and akira classes.

they aren't veing produced anymore though it is the moest masss produced ship in the federation

Yeah Miranda is a very versitile ship and also on my top 10 list. They had like 3 or 4 actualt classes based on the first design then a few more designs only implemented on a few hulls.

Excelsior 2 is not the Excelsior 1, it's a kitbash of the Excelsior (prolly lakota subtype) with Sovern necelles.

Yeah the Miranda is not being build but neither are alot of fed ships. Just think maybe the amount of warp in ships should be increased and credits needed to buy decreased. Or make an avatar that can build masses of cheap older ships to supplement the newer ones for feds, and maybe other avatars.

that would be an interesting idea as in the dominion wars, teh fed used everything they had. even butt ugly ones like the yeager class

i dont think the excelsior 1 can be called destroyer since it is outdated, i think it is cool that the excelsior class is buildable,

miranda class is old, altho it is a cool ship it is from the kirk time and most of them were destroyed during the dom war

True but still I'd like to build or warp in the rest of them

I thought the Excelsior was classified as a cruiser.

Well, we decided to leave this old ships out, because there are some Reason that speak aginst them:

1. Yes Starfleet use them, but don't build new one
2. With the Dominon War over over, Starfleets ship building program has been althered to new and more supiorer ship classes
3. Fleetops only use current ships because it plays in the time after the dominion war, where the amount of the old ships has radicaly drop throw the war

BUT

we don't say you will never see a miranda back in flops. It will come back as a non buildable ship, so you can find it on some maps

well actualy the miranda is a power ful light dystroyer and it was a ship oh choice it is the predecissor to the nebula and it is still a good recon or escort ship good for defense + it is also a pre disign of an akira class the obrith is old too but it is still buil the class is 80 years old at least

well if we gonna build the miranda, then i want the constitution back 2,

i remember from one post you guys said the constitution was to old and sh*t, so why go saying the mirande is still powerfull?

Sure, the miranda is a nice ship, for its time

If Starfleet want to keep them in service, they had to refit the ships. In this case its better to build a new ship than to refit an old


and as i mentioned before, only a few mirandas sourived the Domminion War. ( The first ships that explode in DSN were always mirandas and excelsoirs ). So I think its logical to build newer starships, than that outgunned mirandas
