You know that's not a bad idea, having mirror universe for all races as an avatar so if people wanted it they can have it if not they don't have to choose it.
Although just one or four ships from the mirror universe as map units would be a better idea. Yeah.

I was about to make a similar request, I am glad I didn't... I wouldn't really know how to explain it, I just was thinking the idea of some Terran starships (MU Starfleet vessels, with the hull decorations) would have been kinda cool. Personally, some of my favorite episodes were mirror universe centric, as our heroes were polar opposites of the people we all know and love. From what I read though, an Avatar or something might be neat, I mean, if you can have differnt vessels and stations per avatar, surly differnt avatars could have a differnt hull scheme?

One of the Terran Empire's could be decent as map units (as others said), but full races would be best as unique to the person making them.

Well, I had commented on the Avatar idea, you didn't really need a new race per se, but an avatar. I just thought it would be differnt, due to the nature of the mirror universe. Weaponry could be differnt, designs, colors, etc.. but mostly, it's the same designed with some slight differences.

Personally, I would enjoy having a late TNG-Era Empire (like in the novels) with the two avatars being Terran Empire and Terran Rebellion (obviously rebelling against the Terran culture not the Cardassian/Klingon alliance, as it wouln't be the canon Terran's).

I don't think the Mirror Universe would work well as an avatar.. but its planed as a non-playable race for maps and to trade with or other funny stuff in future versions

Will there be Mirror Feds with the unique paintjob? Even in the canon Mirror Universe, I woudn't be surprised if there was one or two beat-up old Constitutions still lurking in the shadows.

Lets leave Fleetops as Vanilla Star Trek Shall we? No Need to make a speciality mod out of a mod, and anyway the Mirror folks are nothing more than repaints of their mirror universe (IE There is no difference)

Try the ones from the novels, the ISS Enterprise-D has much different weapons and the crew have been moved around (Worf is a slave and Deanna is chief of Security, etc).

Right... but this is an RTS, and the novels aren't cannon (so speaketh Roddenberry), So the crew isn't going to make a bit of difference. Really the problem is that for all intensive purposes FO has created Star Trek Armada III, its a completely different game, and people (who being Star Trek Fans) have this natural tendency to want to play in their own universe. Really I think there should be a documentation guide to the modding done, and than just create a Mod Fleetops subbaord.Tyler wrote:Try the ones from the novels, the ISS Enterprise-D has much different weapons and the crew have been moved around (Worf is a slave and Deanna is chief of Security, etc).

well talking about a FO mod I've started one that will replace the FO stuff with stock A2 stuff (plus 2 extra races and extra stuff for each stock race) using the FO3 features
