Middle Click Support

I was wondering if maybe there could be support for the middle-click feature. This is often defined by the Mouse settings. However, I would like some use for it especially the fact that a lot of newer games do plan on using this.

Here is what I suggest for the Middle-Click.

Single-Fire: Click an enemy after selecting a unit of yours, you will then fire only one weapon at it (by default the weapon with the lowest weapon number first). Repeat click to cycle through weapons. Some weapons however can be coded not usable by the middle click feature.

The Purpose of this feature is specifically trying to narrow down possible bugs for ships with multiple weapons, this can help narrow down specific weapons that may be overpowered or underpowered. It could also be useful for debugging trying to track down any weapons that may be causing crash when the ship tries firing its weapons. This could be a helpful debugging tool as well as a strategic feature. This may also help along with the guide, trying to calculate the effectiveness of weapons against specific ships, to help hunt for possible counters that would otherwise remain unknown.

Strategically this could be used simply to try to capture a rather fragile constructor or freighter with a ship of sufficient crew, but very high fire power. This would easily make it easier not to destroy ships you intend to capture.

I would like support on this. In case you don't know what the middle click was intended for. It was intended for mice with 3 or more buttons. Usually the more modern mice have a button that is pressed when you press down the scroll wheel. I often replace the "Flip-3D" feature with middle click. If you use this feature, you could also have it as a program specific cfg. This isn't a lesson on how to equip it. I'm just saying I'd like a good use for this third click.

the middle mouse button is already assigned to zooming

I know that rolling the wheel is for zooming. But I mean pressing it downward (not forward, not backward, just pushed straight down till you hear a click).

Plus the middle click could also be assigned to other buttons via Mouse Settings.
