Me Want Realistic Colonization!

i like the idea of a starbase with that kind if weapon, much damage, slow recharge rate, maybe a good way to limit it to one strong defence station (one per planet) or some other "super" station of some kind, which may get more strategy in the game. think of a some kind of "super" station and only one planet in the middle of a map so you have to attack or defend the planet to get this point to build this building, whatever it could be.

what about soldier count resource? you need a certain amount to take over planets

Or ya could have one of those ships that have a big ol' cannon on them (like the Cardassian ship in the intro video) and you could fire it down on the planet and destroy all life!!! Only the cannon upgrade costs credits to get.

or make a planit upgradabul so wen you bild a colany you can costinly upgrad it. ading difratnt tipes od definve

wepands:difrant tipes of wepands,ship yards on the serfice and finaly a shok wave that pushes ships a whay.

coutermesher: seeld,distoye topedose,sincer jaming stuff and finaly a clock.

I check the requests miltiple times per day
I just don't answer till i made a decision and thought about it

As Doca said there are many interesting ideas here. I thik the "unique station per planet" idea comes cloth to what my idea was, so we can incorporate that.
A Soldier resource is impossible cause we can only replaxe existing resource parameters but cannot add a complete new resource entry. and we need "metal" for a later feature ;-)
