Is there a possibility that a Chodak dreadnought from the game "Star Trek TNG a Final Unity" can be added as either a NPC or map object to fleet operations?

A decent picture of the vessel:

A second unit i would love to see return to FO is the Qeh'Ral class from A2.

No opinions? :sweatdrop:

Chodak: Yes. I loved that (painful to run) game of theirs. Their current state would certainly justify a few single units.

Qeh'Ral: Yes, if it has the red markings the hero version had.

no to the first one, dont like it.

indifferent to the qehral, its not offensive and seems perfectly reasonable, if not special.

Well the Chodak were prominent opponents in at least two ST games so adding a Chodok Dreadnought (which are horribly strong in the games) should be interesting. It's an unusual design I'll grant that, but the FO crew has a way to make half decent designs into marvelous models for FO. Have a little faith ;)

if they change (a lot) the model then it can be better. my "dont like it" was to the pic u posted.

The Chodak! Awww

Yeah, I didn't play "A final Unity" but I played "Future's past" (The SNES-game parallel to AFU which still stands inside my treasury) and I liked the Chodak a lot (however fighting romulans was a little more difficult in ship-to-ship in that game).

The Qeh'Ral sounds good to me, but I would prefer the Fek'l'hr...

The Chodak vessel looks like a flying peanut... must be humiliating be beaten by it.

We already have the Fek'lhr; it was made into a constructor and renamed 'Chor'.

Fortunately the Chodak themselves look like toad-like humans. Tough ones, as the rescue of S.S. Nakatomi in Future's past shows  :D

But on the Chor... I'm not sure. If that's the Fek'lhr only the nacelles and the basic arrangement remind of it, the details are very, very different.

The details of the Chor are as different as the NX is different from the Akira. The Chor doesn't have the controversy, though.

And both of them are not the same shipclass. I'd never have assumed that the Chor is a modified Fek'lhr by myself. The Chor is voluminous, the Fek'lhr is flat. However, back to topic: A comeback of the Fek'lhr (at least as a map object) would be quite appreciated by the majority of klingon-liking FO-players I think... The Chor really isn't much of a take on it.

I wasn't being literal; the head and nacelle pylons are a different shape, while the Chor is very fat in comparison. Bringing up the Akiraprise comparison should have been a hint.

Either way, I would be one of those who wouldn't object to it returning; I added it myself in a recent version. Which reminds me, I need to do that again.

Tyler, I simply didn't want to refer to your hint in any way, since the Akira is the Akira and the NX is the NX (despite ALL similarities). That's why your hint is being ignored x)

And honestly, I personally always found the controverse around the "Akiraprise" totally ridiculous. Not only because Star Trek isn't much about the ships, but also because the Akira wouldn't have been the first old design Starfleet refers to with a modern class (the Olympic looked exactly like a 24th century-version of the Daedalus, didn't it?). But I never read about a controverse back when the final TNG-episode was seen by all and people noticed the tabletop-model of the Daedalus on DS9, so I assume people didn't give a few bucks about it besides simply noticing that things looked that way.

To me, the guys who made ENT simply had no new idea and came to think that the Akira looked so great it could be fun to see a very similar design as a feature ship for the whole show.

Personally I'd love to see the Chodak show up as an NPC race. I loved them appearing on maps in Birth of the Federation and then losing half my fleet to their weapons load.  :shifty:
