haha, that would be funny, every time ds9 got fired upon it moved backwards
dukat would be forced to chase it away.
we can presume they just turned on some thrusters to keep relative positions.

the station has 6 big thrusters on one side of the station but as there is no real force in space, you push one way and continues going that way until force from another direction stops it. as Q put it, it would be interesting watching a space station be destroyed in a wormhole.

indeed, but the thrusters push would be countered by the weapons push u mentioned. resulting in zero net movement.

Force from left moves one way, thruster from right stops it. Simple concept, but difficult to do without a computer without going too far.
I think Trek computers are advanced enough to handle it.

simple animations, BSG did a very good representation of fighting sequences on the vipers and cylon raiders.

BSG fighting sequences made as much sense as Star Trek ones. Conservation of momentum flew out the window in either case, not to mention the ridiculous velocities that were employed. BSG just tried to look more "current day" but it still ignored most of physics in lieu of a good fight scene.

Go to TV Tropes and search for 'Space Does Not Work That Way'.

I think bring back Black holes would be fun. The sovereigns special weapon would be a lot of fun to use near the black hole as ships start tumbling into it. You could also give the black hole messing with targeting for projectile/torpedo weapons. The gravity should decrease accuracy especially closer to the black hole. Energy weapons like pulses and beams would be uneffected or perhaps all weapons enhanced damage because all the random energy/debris being pulled in. Torpedos could do more damage on hull because of extra gravitational forces where as energy weapons would excite random photons or something. A side note would be to change the ships destruction sequence when destroyed by the black hole. It should shrink maybe or completely disappear with a bright white flash to indicate its destruction. It would be cool just to fight in a map heavily covered with Black holes.
