Line of Sight

Had a quick search through the forums and didnt find any recent posts about this so just wanted to ask if its possible to introduce line of sight in-to the game. Most extreme examples your Fed and theres a borg cube infront of you, you cant shoot or use any abilities on enemy or friendly ships on the other side of the cube due to line of sight. Basically introducing the ability to pull your tanks infront of retreating damaged ships to take the fire or ships which are already on the brink of dieing can cover the escape of their team by jumping in-to the line of fire.

Like friendly-fire, where weapons don't phase through things that get in the way? Doesn't tend to come up much, but I like the idea. Doubt it wouldf catch on for an RTS, though; it's more like a simulator thing.

yeah, this doesn't belong in an rts, not enough control over ship's precise movement. for anything less than a cube's size, it would be luck of the draw really.

also something similar is planned already, defensive profile ships will get shot at first, so they can tank, without the need for heavy micro.
