I've noticed the backgrounds for the two Klingon avatars give them very diverse backgrounds and tactics. Martok enjoys reductions to shipyards and boosts to crew strength for his capital ships, plus an extra capital class, while Taq'roja has more focus on the smaller ships of the fleet. Playing them, i always felt that Taq'roja would probably look more to guerilla wolf packs of BoP's and her artillery ship, while Martok would look to the more traditional full fleet assaults like those seen in the series.

Thinking this over, i was thinking maybe, in a far future FO release, the specialities of the two avatars could be expanded, so both have more advantages and disadvantages from being chosen that would dictate the approach the player would take playing them.

For example, i would assume that Taq'roja, having an army mostly consisting of Duras remnants, would not have ready access to the latest ships of the line, so perhaps make newer ship designs (like the Vut'pa and Bortas) have a greater supply cost than normal, reflecting the difficulty for her  in getting them (this of course excludes her avatar ships). This would be offset by having bonuses that make the older ships cheaper or faster to build, or perhaps granting them access to technology that more mainstream Klingon's may not be allowed or able to use (such as illicit weaponry) due to their alliance with the Federation (and the treaties no doubt involved in it). Her bonuses would also focus on lower-tier ships, encouraging the player to use them extensively in-game, using her capital ships only for major assaults.

On the other hand, Martok would, in addition of course to having greater access to new designs, perhaps have slight boosts to the stats of older designs in use by him, representing the latest upgrades or Federation engineers assisting his fleet, which would be offset perhaps by slightly higher resource costs; using the latest tech don't come cheap. At the same time, his bonuses would perhaps look to the higher tiers of his fleet, and encourage the player to build up large task forces of big ships, with smaller ships serving only as support for them.

But yeah, t'was just a concept i thought i'd share. Welcome anyone else to mull it over and add their thoughts on it. Cheers
