Interceptor Dode

The 2x interceptor dode really isn't used all that often in online play, because the 1x interceptor dode and the 1x regen dode has similar firepower, but a much better defense and regen rate.  The diabling abilities are twice as good on the 2x intercept, but the numbers are still low so we don't have those crazy problems with the Dode again.

So I was wondering if the 2x intercept dode could have a special similar to alternate armament.  It would be a replace weapon that causes the ship to do no damage, but has a high chance of disabling.  Also, it would cost special energy to fire, so a ship couldn't stay in this state forever.  It would probably require some retooling, but is just a quick thought. :blush:

I dig that.  I'm a big proponent of certain module combinations "unlocking" cool abilities that make each combo worth using :).

yup sounds cool. the dode wouldnt be op cos its limited and does no damage.
