  Yes i'm back with more ideeas ( hope this is not getting annoyng for anyone :P ). This time most of it is about the Klingons. I think at this point ( as i said in my last post ), Klingons feel more like a geek race than a warrior one. They have way to much independent research stations and no gameplay things that would define them as a race. Someone posted an ideea about 'honor' as a new resource for them. A great ideea and a begining. and here are my ideeas. First of all i think the Kahles Station is not klingonian enough. The one in armada1/2 feelt more klingon in my opinion. I did a redesign of it ( just as an ideea ), that i think makes it look more klingonish. Next is the reasearch stations. My ideea is to scrap the field research, ordinance depot and imperial research and keep just the armory ( but give it the model of the field research cause it ruleess ). Next give bouth the Field Yard and Battleyard the abillity to create research modules ( similar to how the field yard can expand 2 more yards ). This way for the field yard, you would have a new choice - make 3 yards in one or sacrafice one for a research facillity - i know it's not much ... but it's a choice :P . Each one of the 2 research modules would research all the special abilites for ships they build. The armory simply researches tachion detection, shield/weapon/engines upgrades. The imperial yard would have it's own inner research facillity ( should also get a price inc ) wich allows it to directly research the special powers for it's ships. Also the imperial Yard needs a new model, probably the most of the entire klingon structures ( i did bouth research modules and imperial yard ). Btw for the battleyard ( medium shipyard in my sketch ) research modules, thise arm sections have a furnace like effect on them - just like the one for the field research.
Another ideea for the klingons to make them uniq is the flag ships. We can all agree that klingons are 'the most warrior' race of them all, and they probably have the only leaders that would join the fight then just coordinate it from far away. So i suggest that each avatar has it's own flag ship, buildable at the imperial shipyard. Only one can be built at a time, and a new one can be built only if the first is destroyed. This would be the avatar flag ship of martok and the one for taq'roja. They are the biggest ships in the klingon fleet, and ofcore the most powerfull, equiped with multiple weapons and special weapons systems. Also each one has a bonus aura ( if it's possible and codable ) depending on the avatar. But if destroyed, they decrease the offensive value of all nearby ( mayb even all player ships ) ships by 35% for a few seconds - as a demoralization moment for the warriors of the fallen leader.
Here are some ideeas about their powers:
Martok:
Aura - offers a damage bonus to all photon torpedo weapons of vessels nearby.
Weapons : dual heavy disruptors, dual photon torpedo launchers, an explosive torpedo launcher (  better than the one of the luspet ), and dual pulse disruptors.
Special Weapons: a heavyer variant of the Field of Fire abillity; Battlecry - increases damage and rof of nearby allies by 25% for a few sec ; Warlord : once activated it decreases all enemy weapon rof by 50% for a few sec.

Taq'roja:
Aura - increases damage done by all disruptors/heavy disruptors.
Weapons - dual heavy disruptors, 4 micro-photon  torpedo launchers, dual pulse phasers.
Special Weapons : Disruptor Field - deactivates all enemy units that are in the range of the wave weapons/sensors subsystems for a few sec; Sensor Blocker - decreses all enemy ships nearby damage by 25 % for a few sec; Warlord - same as for martok.

I think this would add alot of uniqness to the klingons and make them feel more like a warrior race. Abillites.weapons are subject to change - simply thought about some pissibilites.

PS: i know it isn't much of a priority, but the breen starbase really looks like it needs a new model ( the yard & energy post look good - with a better texture they would be great ), so i made a possible design as well ( yes dominion+ allies of them are my fav race :P ).

Also is there any change the Reman side would get into the game ( romulan playable of npc race ). I think it would be cool if the romulans would have a third shipyard that would build reman ships - The Scimithar Class and maybe some sort of reman cruisser. Any thoughts about it ?

nearly all of your ideas can be implemented and i think some of them are great and if i had Max 5 i would love to make these models so they could be exported but i dont :(

i think the flag ships are a little too powerful and the aura idea can be easily done with the current classlabels. i feel the flag ships should have no rear weapons and should only be able to fire forward (sort of emphasizes the whole thing that klingons dont fear death) but give it an aft torp launcher.

i do agree that the klingons have too many research stations so do like the diea of adding it on to the shipyard because it forces you to build a shipyard straight away as thats really what klingons would prioritise...

Agin nice are skill,

I do like the one of the Klingons ships the other with the rounded head need some work its had a bit of a romulan like feel.

Art feedback:

Some shading would be nice and your perspective is a bit of especially with the breen but over all your skill is strong.

Hy. Tks for the feedback. All this are possible ideeas, it's up to the team how they would implement them.

ewm90 : i know the shading is needed. I study medicine and had/have no art class ever. I simply draw out of pleasure. I'm still working on improving my shading skills as for the perspective problem - well the breen starbase gived me problems cause i placed it in a wrong place on the page and i needed to see how i can save space. Anyway i'm working on improving every aspect of my drawing, but i'm learning it as i do it since i don't have any art knowlage, but tks for the feedback.

im not sold on your designs for the flagships. I think that martoks should be a negvar and the other one looks too rounded to be a klingon starship

I don't get the "Klingon feel" from those pics... They don't really look Klingon to me, sorry.

However i'm all in for the idea of flagships...

The second flagship looks kinda Romulan to me and the Klingon Starbase looks Cardassian (their builders love three's).

Aside from that, decent.

  To be honest half of the klingon fleet wouldn't feel klingon to most of us, if not almost all of us without a good klingonish texture. For the Martok flagship i inspired myself from the armada 2 klingon special powership from the heavy shipyard ( i don't remember the name of the class right now ) and the Bortas class, but made it look bigger and more of a direct warship than a support ship. The second ship ... well it's intentionaly more round and slik ( have you ever had a close look at a warbird or b'rel or k'vort class - they all have many similarites with romulan ships - if they wouldn't have the klingonish texture you would probably say the same about those as well), because it's suppose to be faster, and harder to hit then the martok one. the frontal part of it is in the same ideea of most warbirds i've seen, as for the vings, it's not clear in the design, but they have the same angle as the ones of the b'rel class, only bigger and heavyer if i can say so. Again it's hard to to give a certain ship a race feel, when you are limited with the texture you can apply ( since this is a sketch made with a pencil ). But my wish is for the ideea to be accepted not the design ( if that gets in, then lucky me, a bonus for me :P ). Anyway, again tks for the feedback.

sketches look cool.

Would prefer though to retain the standard Neghvar for the avatar flagships, maybe with slight modifications or upgrades and a spec weapon or two to make it special...
The imperial shipyard - would be better a little more horizontally endowed. It looks a little boxy with the top like an extract from M.A.S.K.

But cool sketches  :thumbsup:
