Well, the next patch is almost finished which means ideas for the following may be possible. So I come to the conclusion that maybe the devs might like to listen in on my new ideas.

According to Dom's guide site, the Dominion in the FO timeline is closely integrated with the Breen. That is why I wonder how come there is only two units. This is what I propose...

The Breen Alliance:
The current version of the Breen avatar only makes a minor composition of the Breen. That is why I believe that with careful consideration, we may make things look more realistic. So, when you play as the Breen avatar, there will be some changes.
- The Hyperspace Artillery is no longer available to build
- Perimeter Cap reduced to 2 instead of 3

In exchange for these loses, you get to have a Breen shipyard with 4 available Breen chassis for you to build. And also, there is much more stuff to research for the Breen.

Breen Ships:

The first on the agenda is the Breen Incursion Vessel. The Breen Incursion vessel is of the defensive swayed Destroyer classification. Its arrayment is two Breen disruptors coupled with a Breen torpedo that can chain fire like the current breen vessels, except is spreads its torpedoes automatically like the Federation quantum turret.

Next up is our newer version of our current Breen Cruiser. Say 'hello' to the Breen Assault Cruiser. Armed entirely of torpedo launchers, this cruiser can make any size fleet open their eyes in worry. Because this cruiser has cloak capabilities, though a new trick up its sleeve is that its torpedoes deal 30% of its damage directly to the hull of the ship. Making it a cruiser to fear.

Third in line is the Breen Torpedo Bombardment Frigate. May sound like a mouthful, but once you see these traits it carries, you'll know you can't say its name without losing a ship before you finish. This vessel pridefully shows the Breen's rumored obsession of torpedoes, because this ship will be firing 3 sets of torpedoes at you at the same time with a Pulsed Disruptor as its "cherry on top". And what makes it more scary is its special weapon, it can use its disrutpor emmiter to create another energy torpedo (though temporarily overheating the emmiter for a few minutes in return).

Forth is the all new version of the Breen Battleship. The new version has really out-done itself because the energy cost for its dampeners takes only half of the energy meaning much more trouble for the Breen's enemies. Plus the Torpedo launchers have been reconfigured to where the torpedoes automatically spread against the targets.

Okay... now I am up for opinions... ^-^

Lol ...

Why of all things have you made the actual Breen ships stronger?  And having a whole shipyard to themselves is not a bonus, it's a liability.  The more buildings you have to have the more resources you spend the slower you build.

Breen Cruisers need a change right now because they are kiters.  They don't need (good god) to deal direct hull damage AT ALL.  I hate fighting Breen because I know that I will only face spammed Breen Cruisers until Spammed Breen Battleships becomes a possibility.  SPAM SPAM SPAM PEW PEW PEW.

I like the way the Breen avatar works.  I hope that with future avatars other Dominion factions will be the same way.  It's neat to see a fleet consisting of Dominion alliances and not JUST Breen ships without anything else.  Makes it feel more like the Dominion.

Breen will be changed in the upcoming patch so they can't Kite like bitches and run.  I feel the Breen avatar in fact needs a small touch up in order to ENSURE that more Dominion ships are used.

Sadly I can say that Gamer did not read carefully enough  :sweatdrop:. Their is a specific reason why the Breen DO NOT have their own shipyard, and why the Breen avatar has access to such few vessels as a result. The next avatar though (Son'a) will have their own yard (and less integrated tech) I am afraid Boggz. Only the Breen were so integrated. I doubt the Son'a' will have too many ships though.

More Breen ships can be used - just people don't like balanced fleets it seems as they like to spam even if it is inefficient in this case. Breen Battleships and Cruisers suck against buildings. That's why you build S-2's and Bombers, not to mention Seige Cruisers and V-13's. Indeed as you mentioned kiting is a problem, but frankly, it isn't completely feasible ever. Even zillions of Sang's can be taken out by destroyers and AoE weapons. Excel II's are a bit of a different story though... those torps are just deadly :D

Why should a disrupror create a torpedo ???  totally different concept  :sweatdrop:

That's fine.  I didn't mean to say that every avatar for Dominion should be like the Breen, just that I think the Avatar's and their accompanying races should add flavor to the Dom style, not completely replace it as Breen tend to do.

Understood :). Well, as you said, with the kiting fixes, it should be a lot harder to spam just long range units  ^-^

I'll still find a way to kite you, Dom.  Don't you fret  >:D

This is basically an experimental concept, energy torpedoes are actually emmitted, not encased and then launched. So basically I took this theory and then asked myself "Disruptors=energy, Torpedoes=Energy, why can't they share emmiters?" Though usually when I look at it in a logical perspective it usually just spins me 'till I'm dizzy.

Torps usually tend to come in a casing. Except Plasma and Ion-based ones, I think. They are still different from Disruptors.

Just ask yourself why your radio can't transmit electricity.  It's just energy, right?

The pure-energy torpedoes require a magnetic bottle to keep them from instantly dissipating, which is yet another layer of devices required in their launch.  A layer of devices that would mess with a disruptor badly.

This may be one of the only posts where I completely disagree with everything said. Most of my comments have already been said,  but i'd like to just say

The day breen cruisers fire torps that take 30% hull damage is the day  stop playing FO.

Bare that in mind :borg:

I guess then maybe I am thinking too hard on a minor faction...... I guess the reason that I wanted to improve the Breen is because they're my 2nd favorite star trek race. Plus I always think to myself that the Breen deserve more... But I guess I have to face the fact that maybe it was a bad idea to begin with to propose improvements of the Breen race. :(
