Hidding Romulan Que and Cloaking Generator
Post ideas and suggestions on new features or improvements here.

I was thinking what if romulans could hide what ships they are building from que number 2~9 when cloaking generator is build... that way it gives the romulan a more stealth way and prevent enemy to see what romulans are going to be building. BUT here is the downfall - enemy can see what is being build in que number 1. personally i think this will greatly help the romulans being more stealthy (seeing that their primary starbase sucks ass and can't even hurt a frighter)
i was being sarcastic about not being able to hurt a frighter, but seriously they can't take regen sphere hull down to 98% from 100 while other starbases can...

the enemy can see what is in all queue slots at the moment, so there is no downside to your suggestion, only upsides.
but i think that the enemy should never see your slots 2-9, only what is currently building. why would they know what has not even started yet.
unless they had a spy on board.

I'm not a fan of that as short term planning and overall strategy is dependent on using that sort of GUI information to the best of your abilities. I just prefer to trick my opponents by queuing up "wrong" ships in the shipyard and changing them at the last minute. Hiding the entire queue creates more of a "game by chance" which will cause significant issues due to the passive system which requires thinking ahead.

but i am saying that this would only be affected when romulan cloaking generator is used

That changes matters a bit

I would be ok with it only as an upgrade for the generator, as if you got it with just building the generator that would be a little too powerful. Also I think the first three ships in the queue could be shown, that way it doesn't completely stop planning about what to counter with.

Wouldn't something like this be better with a ranked-up Intel Centre? Keeping the enemy from finding this info seems like something a Intelligence agency like the Tal'Shiar would be involved in.
That station also has an experience system, so the ability can be gained that way.

Why dont you just cloak your shipyard when you change your que?

I vaguley recall reading that shipyards cant be cloaked with a queue, I've tried and found u can queue after cloaking but can't cloak if a queue is up. I think it's a bug one way or the other (and if you're not supposed to cloak with queues, then maybe an exploit to queue after claoking.)

It's neither and both - it's explained in the tooltips in question. The "bugs" are now a planned "feature"
