Here is an idea! How about an Intro video of Fleet Ops!
Post ideas and suggestions on new features or improvements here.

I've always wondered about having an intro video for Fleet Operations. Since STA2 uses BINK video the link to the video tool was in some other thread I had. Anyway, I wanted to know if it is infact possible to make a REALLY, REALLY GOOD intro. I was thinking of having it start out near Starfleet Command. Admiral Mayson gets a report about an attack near one of the borders. Then it shows him stepping out of the office and focuses on his command ship at port outside his window beginning to powerup.
Then it quickly cuts to an action scene of a Federation fleet fighting off a Borg cube paired with a few Spheres. The Federation fleet gets devestated from heavy fire and incoming comes Mayson's commandship escorted by some Sovys and a hand full of Galaxies. Mayson's ship gives a large spread of quantum torpedoes heavily damaging the cube as the galaxies turn to the spheres.
Now I don't know how long this action scene should go. So I'll cut to the heroic scene!
Now more than half of Mayson's ship is heavily damaged. Guess who comes to the rescue? The USS Decent waprs in followed by a large Klingon fleet coming to save the day!
Now as the battle ends in the destruction of the Borg, we zip over to a battle of Risner and her Phalanx class command ship leading a fleet to protect a Romulan convoy against Dominion attack (please don't ask me, I'm trying to have good action scenes). Now half of the fleet gets Obliverated (I am unsure if it is spelled right) by ramming bugs as the Magnan array is the only thing keeping Risner's ship alive. Then the heroic Romulan fleet decloaks from behind the Dominion fleet giving full bursts of disruptor fire crippling the Dominion fleet. Occasionally you might see a Breen ship in there during the heroic battle. But then you see a Tavara come in and finish of the Dominion.
So, what do you think? Intro movie? Plz?

I think an intro video would make a great addition but it'd be a finishing touch, done once everything else is completed. I'd quite like having one in the game as long as there was an option in the menu to turn it off.
Make it!
Then post it and see what folks think
