Gameplay Toggle Switch

Since it seems that Fleet Operations is being made to be able to convert stock objects to Fleet Ops, I was wondering if there could be a master toggle switch in the advanced options in the setup screen and/or in the game options screen that could toggle between the stock Armada 2 gameplay features (with different physics options, map height options, warp options, and Species-8472 mother ship movement options) and Fleet Operations gameplay features.

Well quite frankly if you do the FO installation from Disc, You don't have any of the Stock ODF files copied across so you can't. You would literally double the installation size, OK maybe not double you get my point.

With regards to implementing some of the features, I just don't see it as a priority other people will see. My advice would be to tinker around with it and keep a seperate FO installation for modding the game you want and then keep the Online version for multiplayer.

If you create something interesting then distribute it with the permission of the FO guys. Other than that I don't see what you want happening.

And it's more than just switching between ODF sets. There have been major changes made to the actual engine which would prevent simple switching; it at least it would require a significant recode to facilitate something like this. The change in size wouldn't actually be very much. You would only need to add A2 style ODFs; the models wouldn't change.
