We do not intend to revert the resources back to how they were in Armada 2. We do also not intend to rebuild the Armada2 map types. The environment redo as we have it in mind will work differently and should offer more interesting stuff

I think this is the best idea yet! Problem how do you resolve cloaking? I say simplest fix = removing all cloak from king ships. 

Cloaking shouldn't be a problem, I mean if they don't fight with their hero ship you should be able to beat them with the extra firepower. And there is plenty of cloak detect to deal with this now, you can just ping the minimap if you can't find it.
