Considering that the Galaxy class is contained within the game as a warp in. Is it possible to move files around, allowing for the ship to be buildable?

As clearly all the files are there, does that mean that simply moving files around would result in a buildable Galaxy? as that's rather awesome

If it's possible, which theoretically it is. Can someone specify how to do this?  ^-^

You can build warp-ins from McKinley yard. That can be placed to map via map editor (federation uncommon stuff). If you want to move the ship to other yard, I think it shouldn't be a problem.

So the only way to make this work would be via map editor?  :(

Of course you can change the odf-files and insert the galaxy into the build list of any other yard, but then your version of the game is not playable in multiplayer any more, which would be a pity.

u adjust the list for fed construstion vehicles to build mckinely yard, that yard will build all warp ins etc, and that way u can build galaxy classes to ur  hearts content, thou dont believe u can play online with that adjustments made

Lptpsteve, I'm a huge technophobe when it comes to coding and file configuration, Is there any chance you could give me a step by step guide on allowing the Mckinley yard to be built?

It would be much appreciated

Yeah. I tried adding the McKinley to the allowed buildings list of the Fed builder, but it happily ignored my efforts.

How are you supposed to build it without a button?

It has a build button, or at least on the old interface it did... I assume the dev's added build buttons for the new interface as well. I was able to add almost all the warp-ins as build-able ships using the old interface.  :D

it would be easer to just add the ship to an already existant yard.  :sweatdrop:

Doesn't tyler have a buildable galaxy with a cap of 6 in his personal mod?  I can't see it being that hard to add it to the Euradi yard.

the interface contains spacing for each item in the build list the build button just gives an image to tthat space but it is perfectly acceptable to have a ship/station special weapon that dsnt have a button
