Well, considering that "defending your thesis" has a whole new meaning in Klingon society, I can see why.   Most Klingon scientists don't live long enough to receive their doctorate.

i for 1 think that both the galaxy and nebula should be buildable as they both featured heavily in the feds fleet. Warp in should be random ships from anything u can already build to older ships the excelsior etc to newer experimental ship the descent etc

You're not the only one, but those ships are not popular enough to be buildable. The developers say its been dropped to the Excelsiors level (my translation: flying junk not worthy of a yard slot), which makes sense if you ignore the fact that most buildable ships are nearly as old as the Galaxy.

fair point but surely the galaxy is available in too greater number just to be considered a warp in???

Warp-In is a distress call that brings in existing ships from nearby sectors, Yards construct fresh ships.

Being around in already existing greater numbers would support Warp-In.

Whoa whoa whoa, guys.  Lol ...

  If we wanna talk about the Galaxy being buildable, there are 1203491834901834 other threads to do so.

  Feel free to start another until it gets locked  .  This one is about special abilities for the Feds.  I wanted to give the Galaxy a special that made people value it more and not use it as just a warship.
