I'm a newcomer to the board and a returnee to Armada II and Fleet Ops, so, I apologize if I come across as a random guy who just dropped in to complain. Fleet Ops is far and away the best modification for any game I've ever seen, and I marvel at how far the staff here have taken an old game engine. I don't understand it, but I'm glad they do. So: thank you!
I think my only real problem with Fleet Ops is the build list on the Federation side. Now, I'm certainly not an opponent of original ships, and I'm hardly a canon junkie considering that I haven't seen a single episode of the three most recent Star Trek series. But it seems to me there are a lot of good, established Federation ship designs that the Fleet Ops crew have thus far passed over in favor of original designs.
Are there any plans, for instance, to add the Olympic-class, the Aegean-class, the Ronin-class, the Prometheus-class, the Achilles-class, the New Orleans-class (a personal favorite), the Luna-class, or the NX-91001 (from Star Trek Online) to the mod in any capacity, either as warp-ins, map objects, or buildable ships? I would love to see at least a couple of these; the New Orleans-class always seemed like it had such great potential to be a "frontal assault" type of ship, like a torpedo cruiser, and I'm sure the Olympic-class could be put to good use as a medical ship or otherwise.
Apologies if it seems like I'm demanding more work from the team; it's an incredible mod as it is, certainly far beyond any expectations anyone had for Armada II, and I'm definitely going to be following Fleet Ops hopefully for some time to come.

As far as I kow, the Aegean will be in as a map object, the Prometheus will be in as a Warp-in (experimental): check out the project progress page and see if you are satisfied. However, keep in mind that the FO team has stated several times that this is not a Federation mod, and thus you shouldn't expect dozens of Fed ships, while the other races get nearly none in comparison

I am a fan of more ship varieties, though can see how confusing it might get.
Once I had a modded stock with 5 Shipyards and 4 Starbases that all had unique buildlists. I kept forgetting what ships were at which yard.

Hi and welcome to the forums
,
Some nice ideas for the future, some of these vessels are already on todo, but for future features and not just as baseline ships, as we try to have the same number of vessels per race
