Federation avatars

Well, as we all know, the Federation is a democratic alliance of many races, not just Humans. So it seems a bit oddly to me that both Federation avatars are Human. Would it be appropriate to, for example, make Risner a Vulcan or an Andorian?

Hmm.  I have considered this before.  I think the simplier solution would be to rename the race Starfleet, but I"m not sure its a real big deal.

If they did do that it would have to be one of those two since the third avatar IIRC will be Section 31 and the fourth and final will be Starfleet Intelligence(Admiral Lewitt).

I thought they weren't going to add Section 31.  Doesn't Risner already have ties to it?

Had a similar idea myself, but going to implement it myself for fun:

Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations - New Fed Avatar (personal project) - ideas and suggestions

Poll results show people would like to see a Vulcan Avatar.  Just started putting the mod together and added a third avatar (basically a copy of Mayson with a name change at the moment).

Next step going to really think hard about exactly what I want this guy to be(which area of starfleet), then go and find some models and get permission to use them in case I decide to release.

Honestly, Risner would make a good Andorian.  She's militaristic, aggressive, and likes ships that mimic those traits.

Where are her antennae?  She hiding them in that pony tail or something?

I like the museum option and this feature of the R&D

Possible cloaked Defiant could be a standard ship or some sort of non-detection feature such as the multi-adaptive shielding used by seven of nines parents to cloak instead
