Every Race in FO (except
) could build a Diplomatic Station. In this station you could choose max. two allied species (i.e. to build a construction ship). With a few exeption every playable race has the same choice options.
These would be e.g.:
- Breen (Dominion only - There should be also a new Avatar replacing the Breen Avatar)
- Sona
- Ferengi
- Xindi
- Remans (Romulans only)
- Retired Shipclasses (NX-01, Constitution, ... - Federation only)
- Gorn
- Tholians
- Orion
- Species 8472
- Cardassians
- Some Mix of DeltaQuadrant Species

and then ?

I was thinking about this... but the retired ship class thing will just give me a headache playing with TMP ships against post-TNG vessels. I like it that if any ships are to come back that there would be a previous generation tech tree where all races give you a generation flashback into the 23rd century.
Though I'd like to see:
- Sona
- Ferengi
- Xindi
- Remans
- Tholians
- Crystalline

Well, Son'a, Crystalline, and Tholians are definitely going to be in (look back in the threads years past) as (in order) third avatar, map object, NPC. Remans may make it in too as map object/NPC at some point... I think

ok, all of your sugestions are good, accept the xyndi.
They are what ruined the enterprise seris. They should have done some kind of klingon/ fed war, or romulan/ fed war. Not Enterprise against all xyndi in a temporal cold war. That was just the worst writing in any series. *facepalm*

Well, you have to admit... they don't feature many non-humanoid races. Besides, the more non-humanoid races in a series, the more you can tell the writer has a pretty good imagination.

However good imagination doesn't give them the ability to write well.

We will be getting, all those non cannon races which (atleast the noxter) are not humanoid(as far as I know.)

Well, then you can build the ships and stations from your allied species (one shipyard and one upgrade station for each allied species should be enough).
I think it is just an easier way to implement non player races. It seems the fleetops team has some coding problems with NPRs, I guess. Because if it would be manageable, the NPRs would already be in the game, it is a major feature of FleetOps. As long as they work on the problem, this allied species feature could placehold the NPRs.

disagree with zaxxon, ent series 3 was ok,and wrong time to add klingons and romulans as fed wasnt established yet, those wars happened after fed was established, and like the ideas to include npr,be good to have sum diff ships and angles and would expand the game even a decommisioned ship yard cud feature with old starships from 1 nacelle to nx to constituion and orig miranda class, love fed ship design it has developed over the entire seasons
