I've noticed that certain Romulan ships that weren't in the shows are very thin. I think it would be nice to have at least some of them thicker.
The most glaring examples are the Leahval and Serkas, both very wide and long but flat as a pancake.
I've also noticed it on the Sus'a, which I would think would be a thicker ship with all those torpedoes stored.

Romulan ships tend to be kinda flat for their size, especially in the wings.

lol fat birds like penguins dont fly.
Personally i think the roms (and to a lesser degree the klinks) have their set style of copying birds, and thats why they are flat. The big d is huge though, which evens things out :p
Susa i have no pref for.
if a romulan ship had to put on some weight i'd opt for serkas, with its rocket lawnchair mortar torp

erm when did you see that, in all encounters in the shows they were quite fat compared to fed ships.

Or anything other than the big D and that ENT probe

Every time a D'deridex came on screen. Warbird wings were very thin for such a large ship. The D'deridex (the only prominent Romulan ship) has very thin wings for a ship its size.
The head section was thick and so was the tail section, but the wings were thinner than its own neck. Only really 'thick' if compared to the nacelle pylons of a Galaxy.

Ok ill give you that but they are no thinner than any fed ships plus they are sectioned off with the wing so that pretty much makes them much larger.
The sang needs to be a little thicker in my opinion, its a torp ship but is pretty small and thin.

I'd also like to see the Su'sa and the T-15 a bit more 3dimensional. On the whole I get the feeling that the canon ships tend to have a bit more height and detail than FO non-canon ships.

Naaaah... look at most of the Dominion-vessels and Canaveral, Excelsior-II/Miranda-II, Luspet...
it's actually only the placeholder-models which are looking too flat. And there are many of them left x)

Yeah, I've been looking at most of the Dominion vessels and came to the conclusion I mentioned above
.
The mentioned Fed vessels are okay, but many of them have a canon basis anyway
. I can't say sth. abut the Luspet, though. Built it only one time.

Larger Klingon ships being relativly small or thin would make them less intimidating than they could be. Their bigger ships tend to be bulkier than small or medium ones. The Negh'Var in particular had a few extra pounds in the neck.
