"experience" system for borg

first of all
i hope you can understand what i mean because my englisch isn't the best ^^

and now my idea

the borg getting experience and knowledge by assimilating others
in fleetops it could be something like this :
after assimilating a certain amount of crew you get a special ability for example after assimilating xxx fed crew ( and the federation defensive tactics and maneuvers ) the torpedo hitchance vs small fed ships is increased
after assimilating xxxx more fed crew you unlock the next ability
this could be something global like decreasing damage from enemy ships or something that is only available for ships with one or more specific modules
maybe also some kind of "timer" that shows how many crew must be assimilated before unlocking the next ability

what do you think ?
could this be possible for fleetops or would this idea unbalace the game ??

The dev team have already stated that the Borg will not get an experience system. However, they are working on something else for the Borg.

but this is an idea for something else not for an experience system like the fed, rom ... one

Sounds like 'Priority', except assimilating people instead of building ships.

i have an idea, why not only add to defence when it gets promoted, its like adaptation

  The single word that describe the borg is ADAPT. This is the direction this race should be heading.

It sounds like mixed tech, collective abilitys. Its not a bad idea, I just think they have other plans in mind.

it makes sence though, you fight a race for so long, i think you get to know their weeknesses and steangth alittle
