Experience, Escape Pods...

I`m uncertain, if experience is to be included, but it would be greeaaat!

Also, before (almost any ship) explodes, it should launch some escape pods, if they escape the torture they could be integrated or transported to another allied ship or even a hostile one...
The purpose being, the ship that rescues or captures them gains experience or even a special weapon or something....

The officers and crew are the pilots and engineers of ships, right...?

nice idea but remember ships can only hold certain amoutns of crew so it would not be very effectiv if they are alredey full, spiecle weapon i think could feck up the game as you just destory a really cool sw ship and get a normal ship to go get it ect, plus i don't think its possible.

experience-no purpose for it ain't like its gonna be of much use
-escape pods, naw, the crew gets replaced to fast but if they made a set amount of crew then it mite bea n idea

Tractor them to the nearest starbase and get a boost to crew.

And the Fleetops Staff say they are already planning/already have something along the lines of experience in that thread.

I think experience is a good addition to almost any strategy game. Experience is something that cannot be bought, so you will value your ships with experience much more than unexperienced ships. Also, if you sit there just slowly churning out ships and nothing else, while your ally keeps attacking and defending, then your ally will be much more powerful because his/her ships have a huge amount of experience.
