Escape Pods

I know this has been discussed and rejected bofore as impossible but heres an idea...

You would build a Ship/Station names Escape Pod Recovery. If a ship launced its escape pods the ship would Self distruct and send a invisible "beam" with the escape pods going from the ship to the Escape Pod Recovery. When the beam hits the Escape Pod Recovery ship/station it gives X crew. The crew on the ship is still destroyed but it gives the illusion that they escaped.

Yep I'm under the impression that crew will be as hard to come by as tritanium. I hope so anyway.

Well no one said NO. That's a good sign.

Crew NEEDS to be harder to get. It's not like the Federation is going to be sending people on suicied missions every day...

I think crew will be harder to get, I really hope ships lose more crew to damage tho, not to losing life support. If you have 28 hp left in your hull then about 60% of your crew should be dead, at least.

ya i agree if it is posibal. you whood have to go out of your why to get a very small bit of crow.

I say yes to the hard getting crew thingy, but NO to the escape pods :P

escape pods suck ass and FO-staff said no more than once
