This is about what happens when a person drops out of an online game.

some ideas for more options:

  • Eliminate and give resources: all ships die like with normal Eliminate option, but their resources get given to an ally.
  • Decom and give resources: all ships die, but they are decommed for 100% resources and all resources given to an ally (or split between allies)
  • Transfer control: all units get transfered to an ally. this is my favourite option
  • Ai temporary, then transfer: ai gets control for a while, while an ally can take over later, at a convenient time.
  • Ai temporary then die: the ai gets control until it stops building, then dies so allies can steal moons.

the reason i ask for this is that if u eliminate, all those ships and forces just die. while if u ai takeover, the ai works for a while, then gives up and sits still. mining resources and hogging moons.

the only way to get their moons is to bring your fleet over and destroy them. but your fleet needs to be pressuring the team with greater numbers.

my favourite idea is for control (and money) of the dropped player to switch to an ally. so that they basically continue with the same forces, just needing more micro to win.

I think a IA that properly worked would be best but if I cant have that I would go for transfer control.

an ai that can play an rts properly is something very very unlikely for a while unfortunately.

the ai would also have to follow orders like joining for an attack. or giving money.

I ment that it dus not crash and stop doing things like it normay dus when someone drops. So it plays like in instant action.

i see. sometimes in instant action (IA) it does the same thing  it will make a number of ships, attack, get murdered, then give up.

evne if the ai didnt give up, it would still be prone to the same bad tactics such as keeping only some of their ships cloaked, and attacking in waves of small numbers, giving the enemy free xp etc. i would rather their units just be given to a human who can use them. even if it requires more micro.

maybe if its a team game have a sort of leader for the team so if it was dom ,myles and boggz ina team u choose the leader so say boggz was then maybe he could control ai

not sure if its possible yet but maybe program the basic strats for ai to follow like the strats in the guide

I've also seen times when an AI borg fleet was sweeping through my base, I'm trying desperately to hold them at bay, and then suddenly...their entire fleet explodes.  I've see that one three times, though I've never figured out how to replicate it.
