Descent Multi-Layer Shields

I was thinking that for each rank the Descent Class vessel gets, it should get an extra shield layer.  Or maybe for every 2 ranks the Descent gets, it should get an extra shield layer, with Veteran gaining a final shield layer.

That seems to be a bit much, IMO, for a ship that you get for free.

THe Multi-Layer shield ability is just a standard one that is a 'reason' for the Descent having such a huge Defensive value.  I think the ability itself gives +20 Defense or something, but since it's standard the Descent's D value is 74 standard.

  If you want to see it another way- the Descent has no Multi-layer shields and has an inherent D value of 74.  It's just kind of eye-candy and fun stuff to think about for those of us who like it .  The same goes for the Kbeajq and it's crazy armor.
