Descent Class

Could the Descent Class be replaced with the Prometheus? This is for aesthetic reasons only. You can keepn the same stats, but please replace the Descent Model.

Indeed, that would be a good idea!

Explanation: Newly developed, can't be built in larger numbers... so it has to warp in from SF Command and you can only have a certain number of them.

Perfect!

Only the Descent class is only about balancing. I still don't like it, as it looks like 2 Excelsior-II put together... much of a kitbash. I would love to see a redo of the Descent-class, something more believable.

the descent class won't be replaced cause it is an essential part of the fleet operations universe. but i could think of a new design for it..

How bout you make it look like the Prometheus and change it's name to Prometheus, but deep down somewhere it will still be the Decent class.

*maybe* but not in beta 3. we have already much work on our hands with making the dominion and the prometheus mesh doesn't make itself

How about redesigning the Descent so that it is a Prometheus with 6 Nacelles?

oh no ... i hate these make-one-more-nacelle-and-here-you-have-a-new-model-designs ... i think the main design is ok ... but the two main sections arent good...
make the upper pylon thing more look like it is connected to the ship ...that should be enough ...

Or perhaps redesigning it so that it looks like a Promethues with an Akira Pod instead of a stardrive?
