Delay Construction Changes

While I like the fact that I don't have to delete all my ships to add a construction delay, one thing that has been bugging me when I add delays is that they stop the ship I'm building on at the moment.  I would like to see if the construction delay timers could be added immediately after the ship I'm building.  Many times I'm adding a delay because I'm planning ahead, and still want the ship I'm building to be constructed.

Adding the delay right after the constructing ship would work well for everyone.  For those planning ahead, they still get their ship built.  If you want to immediately halt all production, it's only one extra click (Clicking a construction delay and clicking on the ship that's building to remove it from the queue.  Everybody wins! :woot:

I second this idea, it bugs me when my ships are cancelled like this too.

I  third the motion to add the ability to input construction delays between  indiviguial ship builds. It would be great  esp when trying to build miners and you not quite there  on materials  yet  want  keep a  timed pace  between everything being built . The reason  so you keep building at a steady rate.

I actually like it the way it is - but if so many prefer it this way, I can adapt I think :). It just seems inherently more logical (and easier for me) with the current system.

yea, a button like "freeze all construction" should actually freeze all construction. but i can see the point in stoping something you already payed for. i will think about that

Perhaps another button that would achieve this goal?  That way if you want to stop construction completely, you use the buttons we have now, and then another set of buttons for what I'm suggesting.  I hadn't thought about the fact that they don't have to be mutually exclusive. :blush:
