(random) Idea: Cubes generate CCs (maybe just Optimize Borg)
Inspired by godsvoice's post here.
Not really thinking of this as a module (can't see peeps purchasing the module), rather just as a passive ability in all cubes.
Or, maybe all borg ships generate CCs. So, in order to get CCs, you need to spend money on ships.
(Assimilate variant: every 100 (or so) assimilated crew gives 1 CC)
just random ideas

Well, I suppose I'll be the first to respond... and (surprise) I think its a really good idea ... surprise! (oh wait... )

Yeah, I'm not sure the best way to incorporate it, like with assimilation or what have you. I mean, what are "ccs". Collective Connections... but how does that relate... But yeah, having a borg cube generate these I think would help.
It would mean that after every borg cube built, the next one would be that much easier to get. Unless we tap it off someway, like only so much cc's can be made by cubes, and after a cap it just stops.. just ideas, not committing to anything.
or, like the refresh button, what if a borg cube can recycle some of its connections? Because going with the idea of collective connections, maybe its the tough part to just set it all up, so getting that new cube going takes 130 cc's but maintaining that cube is simpler.
But some 'process' that we say is whatever, it can put on a 'refresh cycle' and reinsert say 15-30 ccs. This could come at some cost even. Like deactivation of 3000 drones. Crew drops from like 21000 to 18000 (not that that will cause performance difference though I'm sure). Or some other cost, like just simple stall. Generating those x number of ccs has a speed aspect, you are 'currently generating ccs' so you 'can not move'. increases cc production by 10% for 30 sec. or i dunno. But something like giving you 15 - 30 or so ccs faster.

Interesting. With the new set of cubes at different cost levels, I wouldn't mind if say the Command Cube generated CC's. The lower-level ones, I'm not so sure.

Why not letting the incuba-station be upgraded in order to generate additional CCs? We get supplies, CCs and re-crew, maybe a perimeter for borg-space and all those neat things. So we have a full support station out of this. I'd like this more than having a station just to generate CCs. That doesnt fit the borg.
Maybe a station-module like on the recycling-center? One option for supplies, one option for CCs, one option for borg-space perimeter, which gives you additional abilities in an area.

Any perimator weapon would probably have some sort of holding beam that would strip ships of crew. Maybe a limit of how many oculd be built otherwise the base would get clutered with bugs and BOPs floating around. Maybe not having a "weapon" at all apart from that????

every cube generates ccs. Every cube? SCOUT CUBE RUSH
!!!!
but yea! sounds like quite a good idea.

To be fair - both the Command Cube and the normal one should be able to generate. Both should do it on their specific ratio. Command Cubes could increase the rate of CC-gathering by roughly 33% (on the long run the difference would be huge in fact even though it looks like a small boon only).
The normal ones should increase gathering by roughly 3%, but each Cube counts - cumulative bonus.

33% is a huge bonus, I was thinking more like a set amount such as 10/minute that doesn't scale with your nodes level.
As for regular cubes, yes they are sort of flying cities but the Borg focus all their resources on one goal. Despite their size, cubes are still the "drones" of the Borg: administration tasks are handled by ships such as Diamonds that are never meant to see combat. The command cube is an exception to this rule, canonically there is only one such cube for every hundred or so regular cubes.

every cube, but not yeah, not scubes.
guess i should have said all the larger cubes. or normal cubes after the command cube
the problem i have with saying this is not for normal, and only command cubes, is that command cubes are probably going to cost something huge like 200 ccs to begin with, so not really wanting to wait for that.
