Right now it is often difficult to see if a vessel has recharged enough energy to use its special.

A simple solution would change this:

Indicator Red: 0-60% Needed Energy to use special
Indicator Yellow: 61-99% Needed Energy to use special
Indicator Green: 100% Needed Energy to use special

This would make it easier to micromanage the ships in a fleet.

If you hover your cursor over the special weapon in question it should display how much energy is needed :) (by showing how much of the icon is 'filled')

Yes, that's the current way to deal with the issue. But you have to memorize each special's needed energy. Andre is proposing an improvement.

SC2 does this (in a simpler yes/no fashion) and it is an nice improvement over not doing this. Each special show's how much energy is needed, and if the unit has that amount of energy, the number is green. If not, the number is red.

Same with building things - all the required resources listed on the unit are color coded by if you have the resource (green number) or not (red number).

The downside is that it is often difficult to read due to the small size. A color indication would take away any doubt immediately.

I missed the topic Tyler posted.
