What about giving close to a few fed ships.
I never like the feds not being able to use cloak.
The story line the FO team has not as crated so many new paradigms for the milky way races why not add cloak and get rid of the parts in the Romanian treaty that keeps the feds from having it?
You could give the new advanced skinny fed ship with a cloak the defiant class of cores and the maybe for a fed ship not crated yet by the fo team.

Idea 2 mask warp signatures.
If clocks out of even if its not what about having a ability that slows a ship and takes it off the mini map when its at lest a good distance from a advisories. There could be a time limit for this until the advisories detect the ship.

well cloaking is a Romulan feature and therefore it would be unusual for a Federation Player to use it.. otherwise everyone would be walking arround with quantum torpedoes, Borg regenerative systems and the like. I always felt that cloaking is a Romuland and Klingon key element and should be kept for them. On the other hand we have some ideas to give the other races a few single units under certain circumstances that can do similar stuff. remember the "low energy stealth mode" from Voyager? stuff like that

What might be cool is if there was another avatar that was starfleet security or eric pressman out of jail (maybe he was bailed out by one of the admirals)
This could allow to build one ship (Nova maybe, or even the old oberth) that had a phasing cloak but that would put you out of favour with SFC, and negatively affect warpin somehow, like maybe just 1/2 ship(s) for standard, or increased cooldown.

Well the enterprise-D used phase cloak in one episode, but i think there should be some kind of advanced weapon the the feds would use, and shove it on the premonition...
The premonition with the ability to shoot while phase cloaked, give it blue phasers, and some advanced pulse shot, too bad you can't mess with time lol

Feds can cloak. Build defiants in the Romulan mix-tech yard. Here you are. Cloakable (is this a word?) defiants.
Enough for me.
But some more unique special abilities are fine. There is so much more cool stuff than cloak.

One of the new Federation Avatars planed for the future is from the SFI (Star Fleet Intelligence), so you can expect some sneaky stuff from him

The Treaty that prevents the use of Cloak has been known to be pushed aside during certain time, like war (FO is a war game).
Too bad Starfleet doesn't have cloak, their cloaks are more advanced than the Klingon and Romulans. They're the only ones that created a working phase cloak (well, working until the mutiny screwed things up).

Don't forget about Scimitar's cloaking device. It was really advanced.

That wasn't Romulan or Klingon, it was Reman.

I would have to disagree with giving the Federation any more cloaking capabilities beyond the mixed tech defiant.
However, I think something along similar lines might work for a future starfleet intel avatar. Anyone remember the game Away Team? Giving the feds a ship with holographic incursion technology would fit in more with established traits since the federation excels in holographic technology.
They could have a ship which could mimic an enemy vessel or possibly a ferengi marauder for either a fixed amount of special energy or a continuous drain until deactivation.

No fed cloaking. Ruins the entire nature of the fed tech tree and development.
Cloaking is Romulan. It fits their style. not fed, not borg, not dominion.
Klingons we all know had an exchange and obtained it. But not for all ships.. so it's fair enough for klings.
And no - the Feds wont be violating the treaty of Algeron any time soon.

I agree. No clocking for feds. But a holographic ship is a neat idea, Kasei is wright. On the other hand, feds have very good sensors, maybe the intelligence report for feds should cost half as for other races (I can't believe I'm saying this...)

I already asked before and the Incursion Class might be in.
