Cloaking - Ship behaviour

I have a request concerning the ships' behaviour when clokaing and uncloaking.

If a ships cloaks it's alert is set to yellow, so it doesn't open fire at targets in sight/weapon range - quite logical  :D. But if the ship uncloaks the alert mode stays yellow: the player has to set the alert to the old mode himself (mainly red alert I guess).

Would be nice if this gets fixed/included in V3 as setting the alert modes again and again after uncloaking is annoying as hell. The alert should at least be set to red when uncloaking.

I'm sure the FO team could sort that one out. I'd imagine it to be a minor task.

Thats already fixed in v3. Vessels stay on the selected alert level, they just don't use their weapons while cloaked until told to do so

was that really the case? i recently worked a lot on the cloaking device and haven't seen that issue. the cloaking device shouldn't affect alert levels.

I just played with the Klingons in 3.0PR - well, yea, it does in that version.

it was an issue carried over from vanilla A2 IIRC. Always did annoy me when i forgot to change it back and my killer stealth group uncloaked and then sat there and waited to be shot at.

ok then, i will check that. there is some code that changes the alert level to yellow in case the ship belongs to an ai (or thats what i thought). i may have fixed that by accident already as i have rewritten that part of the cloaking device while doing some modifications, but intepreted the assembly there wrong...
edit: now definitively fixed
