change default Autonomy

Hi

I just wanted to ask if its possible to change the default parameter for new ships so that every new build ship has Low Movement Autonomy but High Special Weapon Autonomy.

Specially in rounds with higher game speed its annoying (for me) to search all the ships on the map after an enemy attacked my base  :D

I searched the rts_cfg.h and Dynamic_Localized_Strings.h but i couldnt find the right thing.

Welcome to the community.

Change the autonomy settings of the shipyard, a ship will start with the same settings as the yard that constructs them.

I agree about low movement, medium movement autonomy should be something you activate on a few ships at a time, rather than standard.

However I disagree about special weapons autonomy. IMO the less ships do on their own without any orders the better, at least for the default settings.

EDIT: Tyler, is there an easy way to set defaults?

use numpad hotkeys, no need to go into ai pallette then

...and if i set this parameter to the first starbase it only builds construction ships which in turn build ship yards... :rolleyes:

yup that works. dont forget to set it for the first 2 constructors built as well.

I too agree that the ai settings need to be red/green/red by default.

Special weapons should be green or yellow, not red.
