ok when ferengi come to steal my uncrewed ships would it be possible to make their capturable, i tried to but once my crew was onboard the ai just took control of it again.
Everytime i see them trying to steal ships i just force fire and blow them to bits.
Even if it cant be made capturable the ferengi needs a speed/damage increase and he should fire back when fired on. Maybe even trigger a warp in of 3 or more ferengi ships when he gets shot, and they start attackin the player. Just some ideas.

Just make them capturable derelicts on a map.

I wish I could capture ferengi marauders... but unfortunately you can't.... also I don't think its possible to make them captureable... cause the marauder used in map making and the one that steals your ships are completely different, cause they use a different ai process. ( or something along those lines )

Oh yeah, I tried that once in the original. I used two or three Klingon boarding vessels, and killed the entire, weak, dishonorable crew. Then, when I beamed a new crew over to it, It began to fly away again! As if the Ferengi had re crewed it! So I said, "Darn Feregi! And blew up their ship, and took the ship they were salvaging. So, don't bother trying to capture them.

there is a line in the odf that prevents capture of the ship.  you can remove it , and it will fix the problem.

by the way.. is it possible to turn them off in the options or configs somewhere?
sometimes its f'd up, if you place derelict vessels on the map as map object, and these cockroaches are stealing it, before you're able to get it...
